Barren Island

Barren Island is an island located in the Andaman Sea in the Indian Ocean. It is situated about 138 kilometers (86 miles) northeast of Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. The island is of particular interest because it is home to the only active volcano in South Asia.
