Chidiya Tapu, which is also referred as the Bird Island, straddles at the southernmost tip of the southern Andaman. The place is popular for its verdant mangrove swamps and green forest cover. The place is ideal for peppy picnics and is regularly visited by families. Chidiya Tapu is also the abode of many chirping birds and also gives haven to a beautiful beach called Munda Pahad. There is also a guest house located on the top of the hillock that offers picturesque views of the secluded islands. The sunset on the hillock is very inspiring and the local people refer to it as the main sunset point in Chidiya Tapu.
